Andrew Bryan - Owner/Broker

The legendary Lyle Laeger caught me one day at my wife Ann Heriza Bryan's coffee house in Baker City, Mad Matilda's, and asked if I would be interested in buying the home downtown where he had had his office for several years.  The home held a special place for Ann, having been built originally by her grandparents, F.C. and Mattie Vaughan, as an in town retirement home and office.  The timing, as real estate goes, was just a little off given that we had just purchased a home.  But, in one of those purely innocent moments and half kidding, I mentioned that he might want to sell me the real estate company.  Within moments we had a deal!  And, thus, was born a new era for Baker City Realty.  While there have been any number of changes in the firm's operations and brokers, the same quality of service established by Lyle and his collegues over the now 49 year history of Baker City Realty continues!

Having bought the company, I now needed to become a licensed Broker.  With that accomplished, I set out to steer Baker City Realty into a highly progressive and contemporary firm that could both continue the traditions built by those who came before us and stand prepared for the challenges and successes of the future.  All of our Brokers, whether in the Baker City or Sumpter offices, welcome the opportunity to help you achieve your Eastern Oregon and Baker County real estate goals.

Myra Skidgel - Principal Broker

I started my real estate career as office manager for Century 21 Franklin Realty in John Day, Oregon in 1998. It wasn’t long before the broker talked me into studying for my Broker’s license which I received in April of 1999. I worked for Franklin Realty for seven years with one year off when I transferred my license to Sumpter Valley Real Estate in Sumpter during 2000. In 2006, my husband Chris and I moved to the Sumpter Valley and I opened Prospector Real Estate. After 2 years of working by myself, I decided to join forces with Homestead Realty in Sumpter. And then in August of 2009, Myrna Clarke and I opened the Sumpter Branch of Baker City Realty.

I enjoy working with buyers and sellers and take pride in providing honest service. Please give me the chance to make your real estate experience the best it can be. If you are not a satisfied client, I have not done my job correctly. Let me put my experience, honesty and integrity to work for you in finding that perfect piece of property or the perfect buyer for your property. Call or e-mail me anytime.
