Andrew Bryan - Owner/Broker - Licensed in the State of Oregon

The legendary Lyle Laeger caught me one day at my wife Ann Heriza Bryan's coffee house in Baker City, Mad Matilda's, and asked if I would be interested in buying the home downtown where he had had his office for several years.  The home held a special place for Ann, having been built originally by her grandparents, F.C. and Mattie Vaughan, as an in town retirement home and office.  The timing, as real estate goes, was just a little off given that we had just purchased a home.  But, in one of those purely innocent moments and half kidding, I mentioned that he might want to sell me the real estate company.  Within moments we had a deal!  And, thus, was born a new era for Baker City Realty.  While there have been any number of changes in the firm's operations and brokers, the same quality of service established by Lyle and his colleagues over the now 49 year history of Baker City Realty continues!

Having bought the company, I now needed to become a licensed Broker.  With that accomplished, I set out to steer Baker City Realty into a highly progressive and contemporary firm that could both continue the traditions built by those who came before us and stand prepared for the challenges and successes of the future.  All of our Brokers welcome the opportunity to help you achieve your Eastern Oregon and Baker County real estate goals.

Jon McLagan - Principal Broker - Licensed in the State of Oregon

A native Oregonian, Jon was born and raised in Portland.  In 1990, he moved his family to Central Oregon for new opportunities and a change of scenery.   Prior to joining the Baker City Realty Sales Team, Jon was actively involved in the Central Oregon business community. He successfully owned and operated a printing company for several years.  Additionally, having bought and sold commercial and residential properties personally, real estate has been a natural transition for Jon.  In 2006,  with a passion for Eastern Oregon, Jon and his family decided to make Baker City their new home.Whether hunting, fishing, camping, skiing, or scouting new properties, Jon is an outdoor enthusiast through and through!  He truly Is everybody's friend and is committed to providing the best personalized service for any of your real estate needs.

Having grown up in Eastern Oregon and graduated from Pine Eagle High School in Halfway,  I have an intimate knowledge of the Hells Canyon area from both a professional and personal perspective. My diverse back ground has allowed me to help my clients in more ways
than in just purchasing or selling their home.

I owned and operated  my own Construction company for thirteen years. This back ground in construction and financing allows me to put my knowledge to work for the benefit of my clients.  Having grown up and raised my own three children here in Baker County,  I have a well rounded knowledge of what it takes to  raise your family or build a successful  business  here in Northeast Oregon.

My back ground includes five years as a back office nurse, thirteen years as owner/operator of a communications construction company and six  years as a Professional Real Estate Broker.

I chose to raise my family in Baker County and hope to retire at home near Richland, Oregon.  Myself and my family love the abundant recreation offered here from mushroom hunting in the spring to deer hunting in the fall.  I enjoy fishing in the local streams and lakes, boating, 4-wheeling, gardening, and just enjoying the beautiful scenery. 

I love being a Real Esate Broker as it has allowed me to assist first time home buyers get into their first home, investors find those great deals or to find the perfect retirement home for those seeking to take advatange of our great retirement friendly community.

 

Gail Vansickel - Broker - Licensed in the State of Oregon

Gail was born and raised in Baker County. She married and moved to North Carolina and recently returned to pursue a career in real estate. Gail is very familiar with the challenges and pleasures of living in Eastern Oregon, and is currently pursuing her Bachelors Degree and has explored different career avenues. This has brought her to a career in selling real estate.

Gail is married to Lucas CanSickel, who is a carpenter and an avid outdoorsman. Gail has four children, ranging in ages from 18 months to 18 years. She and her family enjoy camping, fishing, and traveling.

Gail has recently taken up snowboarding, and is an admirer of art. She is also proficient in gardening, and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Gail has recently become a homeowner and can attest to the feelings of satisfaction that come with owning a home. She is also a creative thinker who thrives on problem solving and creative financing.
